Calibration

Calibration is how dartpilot learns your board. It maps the board’s segments to what the cameras see, so a dart is scored where it actually landed. It’s the one step you should never skip.

Before you start

• Cameras are mounted and positioned (Placing your cameras).
• Lighting is set and won’t change during calibration.
• The board is fixed in place.

Running calibration

1. Open the calibration tool in the desktop app.
2. Follow the prompts to mark the board and the segment boundaries.
3. Let the app process the calibration frames.
4. Throw a few darts at known segments and confirm they score correctly.

Keeping it accurate

Calibration holds as long as nothing moves. Re-run it if the board is moved, a camera is bumped, or the lighting changes significantly.
