Hardware requirements
Here’s what you need in the room before you install anything.
A dartboard
Section titled “A dartboard”Any standard bristle board. dartpilot learns your board during calibration, so it isn’t tied to a particular model.
Cameras
Section titled “Cameras”USB cameras pointed at the board. One camera can detect darts, but two or more let dartpilot compare views and separate darts that land close together. More cameras means fewer missed calls on tight groupings.
A computer
Section titled “A computer”The desktop app does the image processing on-device. A small PC or a Raspberry Pi is enough for a local board; venues usually run a dedicated machine.
Optional: a hardware kit
Section titled “Optional: a hardware kit”If you have our kit, the parts list and assembly steps are on the Hardware kit page. Bring-your-own cameras work exactly the same way — the software doesn’t care where they came from.
